1. http://perezhilton.com/ Althought i appreciate free speech, stuff like this doesn’t need to exist. Not only is the content awful, but the design is also hard on the eyes. I do not like this website.
2. http://www.facebook.com/ I like the functions of facebook. I just wish they would actually function. Because of the obvious coding problems plaguing such a popular site giong unsolved i am putting facebook under my dislikes.
3. Uleth webmail. It runs incredibly slowly for no discernable reason for hours on end. I dont know if it’s a server overload or what, but sometimes webmail does more harm than it does, discarding messages and leaving you in limbo as to whether they even got sent or not.
4. http://www.tmz.com/ more celebterity crap gossip that noone cares about. Ten lines of article for every twenty ads. I have no time for sites like this
5. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/ Ebaums world has constantly been the target of hacking attacks and for good reason. The people who run the site take popular user created content from other sites around the internet where the user actually posted it, steal it and watermark over the original post information. Not acceptable.

1. http://www.zudacomics.com/ is a website designed to showcase and encourage production of webcomics. I like it because it allows for easy and open critique of ones work to get some reflection on what people think of your work. the interface is really good but im not sure all of the images are totally web optimized because some of them take a LONG time to load.
2. http://www.transmission-x.com/ is another website showcasing comics but its content is more established and entirely Canadian, which I like. All of the comics have a following of some sort, my favorites are The Port, Butternut Squash, The Abominable Charles Christoper and Kukuburi.
3. http://www.zug.com/ is a comedy website run by a couple of guys. It’s all user created content and some of the stories are actually very funny. A number of the pranks catalogued on the site have been fairly high profile, actually garnering news coverage in the United States.
4. http://www.kongregate.com/ is a flash website like the site newgrounds, but a little less popular. Along with games and movies the site also contains a number of very useful tutorials that can help in all areas of using flash.
5. http://www.nhl.com/ How could I, being Canadian, not like the nhl website. Although i really enjoy the content, the reason i like this site is because of how easy it is to navigate through it all and find what you’re looking for. I especially like cruising the site after a Flames win.

http://www.oscaralexander.com/tutorials/how-to-make-sexy-buttons-with-css.html
Everyone knows that having sexy buttons on your webpage is integral to keeping the viewers and user interested in clicking them. Here’s a fairly short tutuorial, with all the code available for grabbing if you so desire, that would allow you to create buttons that have an alterted state when clicked on and when not clicked on. Pretty sexy.

Although not a CSS help sight it documents some pretty awesome sites designed using CSS, I think it would be pretty easy to draw inspiration from a lot of the sites displayed here.

www.collegehumor.com
I like the diversity that this site offers, with user generated content mixed right in with more professional quality work. I like the style of the website as well and it offers a clear layout of where you’re navigating in the website. College Humor has become responsible for some of the fastest growing fads on the internet and I can appreciate it at an even higher level because it was started by two friends at a college in a program similar to our new media program here.

www.wimp.com is a collection of some of the most popular images and videos from around the internet, although the layout is beyond simple it allows for quick easy access to the content of the site and nothing is hidden from view. unfortunately the individuals who run the site have had to tail off the number of links they add each day due to the vast archive they’re already amassed. I like the website because I am terrible at navigating youtube, yet i enjoy watching funny videos.

Although because the site is javascript heavy it may not work on non-updated browsers, but if you can actually access the site and the content then you’ll be able to appreciate it. In combination with our latest css project there are several design choices at the bottom of the main page, linking you to different pages with different design styles. I like how everything is very organic with the site and although it is a little juvenile the constant interaction with the characters keeps you engaged in the website for probably longer than you’d like to admit.
